Gutter Guard Installation

Gutter Protection Mesh

Gutter Guards are relatively simple devices – in practice, they consist of metal or polymer nets that protect gutters from the accumulation of leaves and other debris. Despite their uncomplicated design, gutter guards are excellent at protecting downspouts and gutters from clogging, which could lead to cracking, leaking and mold. Given the ever-increasing prices of gutter repair services, installing nets is an excellent investment that will pay for itself within a year.

Types of Gutter Guards

There are many manufacturers of gutter guards on the US market, and their offerings vary widely – there are no universal models or solutions.

Mesh Gutter Guards

Mesh gutter guards are probably the best and most common solution. The installed mesh is made of either metal or plastic and is installed to cover the inside of the gutter. Among the biggest advantages of mesh guards are ease of cleaning and durability.

Foam Gutter Guards

Foam gutter guards are not as good an option as mesh ones. This is because mold and other fungi can grow inside the foam, and this poses a health risk to the occupants. In return, it is a fairly inexpensive solution that you can even install yourself.

FAQ

The headquarters of our company is located in Wheeling, IL. However, our people move all over Chicagoland – we have clients from Deerfield, Chicago, Long Grove, Libertyvile, Lake Bluff, Arlington Heights and Winnetka. On special occasions, we even go to Beach Park.

Some of the gutter screens we installed at the beginning of our company (2003) still exist. Properly installed gutter screens should last for many years, and the only dangers they may face are rust and possible damage from the pressure of snow that collects at the edges of the roof. If you regularly clear the snow from your roof, you can virtually forget about the existence of guards.

Our customers often contact us in the fall, when we have our hands full. In such situations, the waiting time for the installation of gutter guards is up to 2 weeks, but if you think ahead and call us in August, for example, there is a good chance that just two days will be enough so that you will never have to climb a ladder and remove leaves by hand again.

Generally speaking, there are no restrictions when it comes to the material of gutters. We successfully install guards on both metal, plastic and copper gutters, but it is very important that all parts of the installation are in good condition. We may not undertake the installation of meshes or screens if your gutters are damaged or require immediate replacement.

The invention of gutter guards is ingenious in that it is both very simple and very effective. It is very difficult to damage the nets/panels and if they are properly installed, they will certainly do their job well.
